1. Scope
This policy applies to every iMatrix and EdgeUplink product — EdgeUplink eSIMs and connectivity, FleetConnect gateways, Neo sensors, Micro Gateway, iMatrix Cloud — and anyone using them under your account or program.
2. Prohibited — Unlawful use
- Any activity that violates US federal, state, or local law, or applicable international law.
- Tracking individuals without their knowledge or consent, where consent is legally required.
- Evasion of lawful investigation, regulation, or court order.
3. Prohibited — Safety-critical deployments
- Use as the primary safety system in weapons platforms or military lethal-effects applications.
- Use as the sole safety interlock in life-support, medical-device, or emergency-response systems without independent redundancy and appropriate regulatory certification.
- Use in aviation safety-of-flight applications without specific authorization and appropriate certifications (FAA, EASA, etc.).
4. Prohibited — Regulatory violations
- Operation outside the approved frequency bands or power limits set by FCC, ISED, CE, or the regulator in the country of use.
- Bypassing or circumventing ELD, HOS, or similar fleet-safety regulations that apply to your operation.
- Use that violates data-protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, etc.) applicable to the data subjects.
- Operation in countries or to entities subject to US export controls (OFAC sanctions, ITAR, EAR), without appropriate licensing.
5. Prohibited — Platform abuse
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or tampering with iMatrix firmware or eSIM applets except as permitted by your license or applicable law.
- Interfering with the integrity or performance of iMatrix Cloud, the EdgeUplink network, or any other iMatrix service.
- Attempting to access another customer's data or accounts.
- Using the service to send spam, conduct phishing campaigns, distribute malware, or operate botnet command-and-control.
- Reselling EdgeUplink connectivity as a standalone consumer service without an explicit MVNO partnership agreement.
6. Reporting & consequences
Suspected violations may be reported via the contact form or by emailing abuse@imatrixsys.com. iMatrix reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts, void warranties, deactivate eSIMs, and cooperate with law enforcement in response to violations. See the Terms of Service for full legal effect.
